It fits fully into the institutional dynamics of the Institute by contributing to the scientific, cultural and social life of the Campus, while strengthening the sense of belonging to the Pasteur community in Lille.
Objectives of the association
The YPL aims to create links between young researchers and to promote the spirit of the Institut Pasteur de Lille campus, in particular through:
- the organisation of unifying events such as after-work events, cultural events, congresses, symposiums, round tables;
- the creation and management of an alumni network;
- the organization of science outreach events for the general public;

Actions and highlights
Organization of the IPL PhD Student Day
In 2025, the YPL association organised the first edition of the IPL PhD Student Day. This event brought together doctoral students, particularly first-year students, from the various research and prevention units of the Pasteur Institute of Lille.
The day was structured around a session of scientific presentations, promoting interdisciplinary exchanges; and a team building session in the afternoon, organized in groups across the entire Campus, in order to strengthen cohesion and informal interactions between doctoral students.
Organization of after-work events at the Pasteur Institute of Lille
The YPL association also organizes the after-work events at the Pasteur Institute of Lille, in collaboration with the various departments of the Institute and the teams from Envie de Saison, the Campus's company restaurant. This monthly event brings together members of the Institute community, from support functions, research, prevention, as well as employees of companies present on the Campus, thus contributing to strengthening cross-functional exchanges and conviviality within the Pasteur ecosystem in Lille.
