A shared technological platform serving research in Biology and Health
The Pasteur Institute of Lille supports several technological platforms, some of which fall under the Joint Service Unit PLBS (Lille Platforms in Biology and Health). Beyond academic research in Lille, the technological platforms on the Pasteur Lille campus are also accessible to the entire scientific community, particularly biotechnology companies and those specializing in pharmaceutical research.
PLBS (UMS 2014 CNRS – US 41 Inserm)PLBS, led by Sophie Crespin, is open to the entire scientific community in Biology and Health. Its mission is to pool the expertise of 80 engineers and technicians, develop innovative methodological approaches, and provide access to major equipment. PLBS was created through the joint initiative of the University of Lille, the CNRS, Inserm, Lille University Hospital, and the Pasteur Institute of Lille to provide structured research support for the 25 teams located on the Pasteur Lille campus.
