Assessing genotoxic risks to protect human health and the environment
Created in 1981, genetic toxicology laboratory of the Pasteur Institute of Lille carried out under contract and in accordance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), genetic toxicology studies allowing the evaluation of the genotoxic and mutagenic potential of many types of substances. This reference laboratory is one of the largest genotoxicity centers in France.
With a very broad range of expertise (human health, animal health, cosmetics, chemistry, plants/vegetables, nanotechnologies, environment, etc.), the experts of Laboratory of Genetic Toxicology can provide advice regarding the choice of tests to be carried out and the interpretation of the results.
About
Accredited for GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) by 3 organizations (Ansm, Anses and Cofrac), the Laboratory of Genetic Toxicology carries out studies in accordance with international guidelines (OECD, EC, OPPTS and ICH) to evaluate the genotoxic and mutagenic potential (gene mutations, chromosomal aberrations, primary alterations of DNA…) of chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, biotechnological, agrochemical substances….
Our facilities are regularly inspected and the Genetic Toxicology Laboratory is certified by European/French regulatory authorities and bodies – ANSM, ANSES and GIPC, proof of our excellence.
With a very broad range of expertise (human health, animal health, cosmetics, chemistry, plants/vegetables, nanotechnologies, environment…) the experts at the Laboratory of Genetic Toxicology can support you and provide advice regarding the choice of tests to be carried out and the interpretation of the results.
Thus, we put our experience into practice to provide expertise.
Our offers
The Genetic Toxicology Laboratory conducts regulatory tests for genotoxicity, mutagenesis and cytotoxicity, within the framework of defined test batteries case by case. The Genetic Toxicology Laboratory supports the public and private actors in their risk assessment and regulatory compliance processes.
These tests are suitable:
- au type of substance,
- French regulatory requirements,
- at the product development stage.
