Lille Platforms in Biology & Health – PLBS – UMS 2014 – US 41
The BioImaging Center Lille (BICeL) is the academic platform for imaging, histology and cytometry of the University Hospital campus, the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Pasteur Institute of Lille.
BICeL brings together expertise, know-how, and equipment across four platforms: (1) flow cytometry & imaging, (2) histology, (3) biophoton microscopy, and (4) electron microscopy. Research & development in imaging techniques extends from the cellular level to tissues and small rodent and aquatic organisms. Located on the campus of the Institut Pasteur in Lille, the site offers access to cutting-edge instruments such as a scanning electron microscope for (cryo)tomography, a cell sorter, and containment microscopes for high-speed, high-resolution video and intravital imaging. BICeL is part of thePLBS Joint Service Unit - UMS 2014 – US 41.
News
The platforms are certified by the Infrastructure in Biology, Health and Agronomy (GIS IBiSA) and are part of a quality assurance process. BICeL has benefited from funding from the EquipEx Future Investment Program (ImagInEx BioMed), supported by the ERDF, the CPER Longevity program, and the University of Lille. Scientific developments are carried out in particular in super-resolution biophotonic microscopy and correlative microscopy with Frank Lafont's team within the Lille Infection and Immunity CenterThe platforms are open to requests from academic and private laboratories.
