Cancer remains a the main causes of death in France and more specifically in our Hauts-de-France region where the consequences et mortalities are among the highest for the vast majority of cancers. When cancer is When detected early, it can be treated and often cured. On the contrary, when it is detected late, The prognosis is bad. et the survival rate drops sharplyOur research unit therefore focuses its work on these so-called "poor prognosis" cancers and resistant to treatments. Our long-term goal is to be able to propose new solutions and / or therapeutic alternatives to clinicians thanks to the discovery of new molecules and / or new therapeutic combinations.

Unit presentation
Located in the heart of university hospital campus, CRCLille The "Lille Cancer Research Center" is a joint research unit whose main objective is to better understand the mechanisms of resistance and persistence in cancer treatments which lead to relapse and recurrence. We are studying many cancers they are solid (organs) or liquids (blood cancers).
The goal of researchers and clinicians of CRCLille, which develop research ranging from fundamental , clinical through the pre-clinicalThe goal is to make the tumor sensitive to treatments again, through a better knowledge des cellular and molecular mechanisms visit us at the development of innovative technologies, artificial intelligence et therapeutic innovationsThis research should allow us to propose... new treatments more effective and more targeted in order to better treat the patient decrease resistance et increase survival.
The unit is composed of 11 certified teams et 1 emerging team who develop expertise, skills and Team know-how specific and complementary in order to meet these scientific objectives.
The CRCLille is part of the ONCOLille institute, also located on the university hospital campus, which is developing a interdisciplinary research combining the biology, The physical, The chimie mathematics, The bioinformatics, economy and health technologies Humanities and Social Sciences by implementing strong basic and translational/pre-clinical research to move towards transfer to the clinic.
