INSERM U1167 – University of Lille – Lille University Hospital – Pasteur Institute of Lille
Presentation
Our project aims to identify and understand biological determinants, organizational and environmental which influence the onset, progression and prognosis of chronic diseases related to aging. We are studying how the interactions between cardiovascular dysfunctions, renal, metabolic and cognitive contribute to global fragility, and how the organization of care, iatrogenesis and environmental exposures amplify or attenuate these processes. We hypothesize that chronic age-related diseases result from vulnerability mechanisms common to all organ systems and healthcare structures, and that an integrated approach combining clinical, epidemiological, and environmental dimensions can reveal new preventive and therapeutic strategies.
