Influencing behaviors, working closely with the public
At the Pasteur Institute in Lille, health prevention education aims to to sustainably improve the health of populationsby supporting behavioral changes in a concrete and appropriate way.
We act with the public, relying on trained and equipped field liaisonsand on the scientific and operational expertise of our teams.
Actions to support the people they serve
Our health prevention education initiatives are primarily aimed at accompanied audiencesregardless of their age, situation or level of health knowledge:
- Children and teenagers,
- Adults and seniors,
- Caregivers and those being cared for,
- Vulnerable populations, far removed from the healthcare system or exposed to specific risks.
Our aim is to make prevention accessible, understandable and applicabletaking into account the realities of life, the obstacles and the levers specific to each audience.
Taking action through local relays and ambassadors
While some actions are carried out directly by our teams, our role is primarily to support those who work with the public on a daily basis.
We work closely with:
- healthcare professionals,
- social workers,
- educators and trainers,
- health ambassadors, community liaisons,
- elected officials and local stakeholders (CCAS, local authorities)
- ...
- schools and educational institutions,
- associations (social centers, local missions, charitable associations – Restos du Cœur…),
- public institutions,
- professional federations and networks
- ...
We support these relays, strengthen their skills and provide them with operational teaching tools, so that they may to relay and raise awareness among the public in a sustainable way towards changes in behavior that are conducive to health.
