Kid Campus: an immersion in the world of research
For over 10 years, the Pasteur Institute of Lille has been raising awareness of the world of science and research among CM1-CM2 students through Kid Campus. More than 300 students participate each year.
The Kid Campus offers classes the opportunity to step into the shoes of a researcher for half a day through workshops held within a real laboratory. A visit to the Pasteur Institute Museum in Lille, adapted for children, also allows them to discover the history of the foundation and its major scientific discoveries.
Examples of workshops offered:
-Understanding how epidemics work
-Impact of climate change on respiratory health
-Stem cells and bacteria
-Microbiota
