The Motte-Cordonnier Brewery, a new sponsor, is committed to supporting the Pasteur Institute of Lille and its research. This partnership marks the meeting between the oldest brewery in France, founded in the Hauts-de-France region, and the Pasteur Institute of Lille.
Through this commitment, Brasserie Motte-Cordonnier intends to bear witness to the legacy of Louis Pasteur, pioneer of microbiology and of the Pasteur Institute of Lille, to the brewing industry of northern France.

Indeed, Louis Pasteur revolutionized fermentation, allowing breweries in the North to perfect their craft. At the beginning of the 20th century, the brewery Motte-Cobbler The brewery developed its expertise thanks to the work of Pasteur and the training provided by the Pasteur Institute in Lille, where many of the brewery's engineers were trained in fermentation control. As a nod to this past and heritage, the brewery even launched "Louis," its first non-alcoholic beer.
