Our values
Since its creation, the Pasteur Institute of Lille has been committed to putting science at the service of health by relying on the commitment of the teams and shared values.

“The improvement of human health guides the actions of the teams.” This quote from Louis Pasteur also illustrates the Pasteurian spirit which guides all the Pasteur Institutes in the world (RIIP).
Since its creation, the Pasteur Institute of Lille has contributed to major innovations in health through high-level scientific research. The teams are committed to maintaining this level of excellence through a transdisciplinary approach, collaborations, and national and international research programs.
Each individual works in the general interest to improve society through their daily actions: CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) commitments within the Campus, support for the Foundation, access to healthcare for all, particularly those in precarious situations… on the one hand, and from population observation to mechanistic hypotheses on the other. On this third point, the Pasteur Institute of Lille benefits from unique experience in France, without equal in academic or hospital infrastructure.
Ethics and rigor are at the heart of all the Foundation's actions and decisions: ethical charter, research code of conduct, governance audit, public procurement, multidisciplinary consultation meetings on prevention, audits of accounts and donations, transparency in the use of funds…
Each person contributes through their commitment and actions to sharing their knowledge: teaching, scientific publications, information and public health actions aimed at the general public (Kid Campus, apprentice researchers, conferences, dossiers, workshops…).
